Senior Business Analyst
Description
Financial services firm is in need of a Senior Business Analyst to work as part of technology group that works on projects relating to front, middle and back office trading projects. The projects involve the development of new systems as well as system enhancements. Responsibilities include working with the business managers and users to define requirements and to communicate with the programming staff. The position involves the preparation of business requirements and working through the project life cycle. The BA will work with the project management team implementing the systems. This position involves extensive contact with the firm`s institutional clients to determine their needs as well as the improvements and new systems that the client needs. The BA will be expected to write functional specs and get involved in some testing.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have a college degree with at least 5 years experience as a BA with extensive experience in working through the project life cycle and the ability to write functional specs. This is a senior position and may require some oversight of Jr. Staff. Candidates must have experience in a brokerage firm with experience working on brokerage systems, such as trading, operations, portfolio administration, performance and middle office systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. This position offers excellent opportunity for advancement with great benefits.
